Coreopsis tripteris. This easy-to-grow native perennial can grow up to 1.5 m and is topped with sprays of single yellow daisy like flowers that attract butterflies and then seed eating birds. Blooms July through September. Does well in poor soil but gets taller in regular garden soil. Likes well drained soil. Plant at the back of the border or in a naturalized planting. Makes a good cut flower.
