Painted Mountain is one rugged corn that will grow where most corn won’t. Thanks to the genius and hard work of Dave Christensen this corn will mature and produce food in cold, short season climates. Dave says that in 2012 it was grown for grain on every continent. Long, (18cm)thin, (3cm) cobs dry down easily to store for year round use and the incredible range of colourful kernels deliver a big hit of antioxidants. It is best dried and ground into flower or used in soups or stews. Dave started with over 70 native dry corns and this gene pool reflects the diversity of those corns. This is survival food! 85 days dry.
