Succotash Pole Bean
Historic bean originally grown by the Narragansett Indian tribe of Rhode Island. Once dry the beautiful deep bluish-purple beans look like kernels of corn. Traditionally used to make succotash, a traditional dish of corn and beans. We like it in soups, stews and baked bean dishes. Vigorous vines produce shelly beans around day 85 and dry beans around day 95.
Phaseolus vulgaris
Days to Maturity: 85 fresh, 95 dry
