Start indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost and transplant out in full sun after last frost. Direct seeding is possible after last frost but plants will have a shorter bloom period. Allow 20-30 cm spacing between plants and give them fertile, well-drained soil. Cut flowers just as the outside petals begin to open and place immediately in water. Vase life is 7-10 days. Annual.
