Garden of Eden Pole Bean

A delicious family heirloom, this tasty bean stays sweet and tender even when old. The flat pods are 1 inch wide by 6-7 inches long and a deep green colour. Seeds are a light brown colour with darker brown striping and the colour darkens with age. Eat fresh pods cooked briefly for best flavour, no more than 3-5 minutes or wait until seed are plump in the pod and harvest as shelly beans for a special treat. Dry beans store well for winter use.
