Cornflower - Black Magic

This annual flower can grow to 36" and will bloom throughout the summer if deadheaded. Very easy to grow— will reseed. Dark maroon, nearly black, blooms start in early summer and their long stems makes them great for cutting. Edible flowers can be sprinkled in salads to help you eat your colours. Full sun. Not fussy about soil. Try this one mixed with white-flowering umbellifers for a nice contrast in shape and form. AKA Batchelor's Buttons.
