Blooming Prairie Filet Bean
This gorgeous purple filet bean has it all. The bush plants are early and super productive and can even tolerate somewhat cool soils. It is very beautiful and would be welcome in an ornamental kitchen garden or in containers. Then there is the mother-load of slender, crisp filet beans. Harvest them frequently when they are young and .5cm in diameter for a continuous supply. Finally there are the very beautiful dry beans which cook down into creamy deliciousness. They too are very beautiful with a cream base shaded with lavender. We were very impressed with this one. Bred by Robert Lobitz and named after a city in Minnesota.
Days to Maturity: 55-60 days filet and 95 days dry
