Buena Mulata
A stunning and rare variety! The 6 to 8 cm peppers mature from violet purple through purple, tan, orange to red and have beautiful purple stems. The flavour changes with the colour and we love the complex, fruity heat of the reds. Food historian William Woys Weaver introduced this pepper from his grandfather's collection who received it from African-American artist Horace Pippin in 1944. Buena Mulata grows to around 60 cm tall. The heat is comparable to a cayenne pepper.
