Cylindra Beet

Elongated reddish/purple beets are easy to slice into uniform pieces for cooking or canning. A favourite of many chefs. Leafy tops can be cooked and make beautiful bunches for market. Cylindrical beets tend to push up out of the soil as they grow so cover the exposed shoulders with soil to keep them smooth. Has resistance to scab and cercospora.
