Another great gene pool of early ripening butternuts. This one was developed by our friends at Adaptive Seeds who, in an attempt to improve storability and flavour, grew all the early butternut varieties they could find and allowed them to cross freely. They began selecting the population for earliness, medium size and a classic butternut shape and released it as Butternut Early Remix. We love the diversity of this gene pool and think it will do well under climatic stress. Be prepared for a little variation on the butternut theme and celebrate the diversity.
