Breeder Frank Morton describes this romaine as an outrage of red. It is the reddest lettuce we grow and it a beautiful addition to any salad. It keeps its red colour even in low light conditions. Upright plants form a loose romaine head when mature and can be cut at the baby leaf stage as well. Very good flavour.
