Snowball Cauliflower
Heirloom cauliflower was introduced to North America in 1887 by Peter Henderson & Co. and is Still a favourite today. Early to ripen, the upright plants produce bright white, solid heads the size of a good sized snowball (17-20cm) with great taste and a crisp yet tender texture. In cool temperatures the outer leaves tend to curl around the central head making the plant self-blanching. In warmer weather you will have to tie the wrapper leaves to blanch the heads. Holds well in the field for extended harvest.
