Lemon Balm

Intense lemon scent makes this perennial herb irresistible to pollinators and people alike. Bright green leaves are used fresh for tea, all kinds of refreshing summer drinks and baking. Plants reach 60cm or so and will tolerate partial shade. The lemon flavour is more pronounced when the plant is grown in a lean soil. Plants will self seed  freely. Hardy zones 4-9.
