Marine Grey Kabocha

So delicious! Finally an open pollinated kabocha squash that we love and is productive in our fields. Marine Grey has deep orange, flaky flesh with a sweet, nutty flavour. The skin is thin enough you can eat it too. We love it roasted and added to risotto, soup or tacos. It is a smallish winter squash perfect for eating in a single meal.This beauty is the work of our friends at Uprising Seeds. They started by crossing two kabocha hybrid parents and selected the offspring to come up with this delightful open pollinated light grey version. We hope you love it as much as we do.
