Champion Collards

Brassica oleracea (acephala group). Tender, warm season greens with great taste. Champion was selected from the popular Vates strain for darker colour, high yield and the ability to stand in the field longer. Long leaves are somewhat rumpled with smooth cabbage like margins. We like to make collard greens and feta cheese strudel for summer lunch in the field.
