Hong Gochu
Hong Gochu is a beloved Korean chili pepper known for its slender, bright red fruits bursting with a rich, smoky-sweet flavor and a mild to medium heat. Used extensively in Korean cuisine for making spicy sauces, kimchi and gochujang (fermented chili paste). Vigorous plants do well in the garden or in containers and produce an abundance of 7-12cm (3-5 inch) that ripen to a glossy red. Use the ripe fruits fresh, dried or pickled. This is our go to chili for homemade kimchi.
