Purple Peacock Broccoli
Purple Peacock Broccoli
Another fantastic creation from Frank Morton who crossed 'Green Goliath' broccoli and two kales to get what he calls "eat everything brockali". Eat the sweet purple stems, green-beaded purple florets, salad-quality young leaves or cooked mature leaves. Produces a crop of loose broccoli heads followed by numerous side shoots - just the opposite of the large single headed green broccoli we are used to. Huge plants are highly ornamental in the kitchen garden. It is a favorite at our farm. Highly recommended.
Brassica oleracea
Days to Maturity: 70
