Yarrow - Common White
Yarrow - Common White
Yarrow is found along roadsides and ditches throughout North America. It is one of the biodynamic herbs and has a long history of medicinal use as a wound herb, in cleansing lotions and ointments, and as a general fortifier for the liver, gall bladder and kidneys. The feathery foliage and white flowers are attractive in the perennial garden. Yarrow prefers full sun and soil on the dry side. Attracts beneficial insects but repels mosquitoes. Grows to approximately 1m in most soils, taller in rich soil and shorter in lean soils.
