Dyer's Chamomile
Dyer's Chamomile
This easy to grow perennial has masses of cheerful, bright yellow daisies that light up the garden mid-summer through fall. Fresh cut blooms will last 5-10 days in the vase and dry beautifully for winter arrangements. The real super power of this plant though is the strong, light-fast yellow dye you can make with it. Over-dye with indigo for incredible shades of green. Grow in the perennial border, in containers or add to a wildflower mix. It attracts all kinds of pollinators and beneficial insects. You can't go wrong with this one.
Cota tinctoria, formerly known as Anthemis tinctoria
