When to Sow:

Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost, or direct sow outdoors once the soil has warmed and frost risk has passed.

How to Sow:
Sow seeds 0.5 cm (¼") deep in moist, well-drained soil. Light aids germination so cover lightly or press gently into the surface. Maintain 18–22 °C (65–72 °F) until seedlings appear, usually in 10–14 days.

Thinning & Spacing:
Transplant or thin to 25–30 cm (10–12") apart for branching plants and long, straight stems.

Growing Conditions:
Prefers full sun and moderate fertility. Avoid overly rich soils, which encourage foliage over flowers. Water regularly, allowing soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Care:
Deadhead to prolong bloom and encourage continuous flowering. Excellent for pollinators and cutting gardens alike.

Harvest:
Cut when outer florets just begin to open. Vase life improves if stems are harvested early in the day and placed immediately in cool water.
